RALEIGH, NC - The Claflin Lady Panthers (10-11, 1-1 CIAA) got back to their winning ways when the team took a 9-0 win over the Lincoln (Pa.) Lady Lions (6-15, 1-1 CIAA), Thursday afternoon at the 2026 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Softball Round Up. The Lady Panthers controlled every aspect of the game on their way to the win.
 
As a team, the Lady Panthers were extremely efficient. The team recorded nine runs on just eight hits in the game. Claflin junior infielder Michaela Cromarty led the way, going three-for-three with a double and two runs batted in (RBI). Senior designated hitter Aniyah Jackson added a two-for-three effort with two runs scored.
 
Claflin junior Katelynn Grissom (4-5) got the start and she threw all five innings of the game. She finished the game with no runs allowed and she recorded four strikeouts.
 
With the win, the Lady Panthers improve to 10-11 overall and 1-1 in CIAA play. The team will go on to face the Virginia Union Panthers and the Bluefield State Big Blue, tomorrow.
