Lady Panthers Unveil 2026-27 Women’s Basketball Schedule

Orangeburg, S.C. — The Claflin University women's basketball team is preparing for another competitive season as head coach Terrance Jenkins enters his sixth season at the helm, bringing a veteran coaching staff and a schedule filled with opportunities to compete against familiar conference opponents and challenging non-conference competition.
Jenkins will once again be surrounded by veteran assistants
Michael Bland and Ervin Monier, along with special assistant Nimbrick Green, as the Lady Panthers look to build on the experience and continuity within the program.
The upcoming slate features a mix of home and road contests, giving Claflin opportunities to establish its identity early before navigating the demanding conference portion of the season. The schedule includes matchups against Coker University, USC-Aiken, Bowie State, Lincoln University, Middle Georgia State, Bluefield State, Emmanuel, Shaw, Elizabeth City State, Livingstone, Fayetteville State, Virginia State, Virginia Union, Winston-Salem State and Johnson C. Smith, before the CIAA Tournament.
The Lady Panthers are scheduled to open the season at home against Coker University, followed by a road trip to USC-Aiken. Claflin will then return to Orangeburg for a stretch that includes home contests against Bowie State, Lincoln University (Homecoming), and Middle Georgia State.
As the season progresses, the Lady Panthers will face a number of familiar CIAA opponents both at home and on the road, including Livingstone, Fayetteville State, Virginia State, Virginia Union, Winston-Salem State, Shaw and Johnson C. Smith. The regular season is scheduled to conclude in February before the CIAA Tournament.
With Jenkins entering his sixth season and a veteran coaching staff returning alongside him, Claflin will look to turn preparation, experience, and consistency into success throughout the 2026-27 campaign. Season tickets will be available for purchase soon.
