2022: Da’Avion continued to be one of the best overall players for the Panthers. Offensively, he was second on the team with a .303 batting average, including notching 29 hits in 96 at-bats, including five doubles, a triple, and a home run. He also went four-for-seven on stolen bases. It was on defense where he truly stood out with a .981 fielding percentage, including 52 putouts with 50 assists, and only two errors. He also assisted on 16 double plays.
 
2021: Da’Avion was a cornerstone for the Panthers during the 2021 season. He played in 30 games for the team, and he finished the season with a .271 batting average, compiling 32 hits in 118 at-bats with seven doubles, two triples, and a home run. He also added four stolen bases.
 
Personal: Da’Avion joined the Panthers in the fall of 2021. He came to Claflin after attending USC Sumter. He is a graduate of Spring Valley High School where he earned a spot on the North/South All-Star game. He was also an academic star, earning a spot on the A/B Honor Roll. He is a Sports Management major and he is the son of Lakeshia and Frederick Sumpter.
