Biography

2022: DeShawnte had a solid season with the Panthers. He played in 24 of the team’s 33 games. He finished the season with a .242 batting average with 16 hits in 66 at-bats, including five doubles. He also finished the season with nine runs scored and seven runs batted in (RBI).
 
Personal: DeShawnte joined the Panthers in the fall of 2021. He came to Claflin after attending Harper College. He is a graduate of Thorntown Township High School where he earned all-conference and all-region honors in baseball. He also played both basketball and baseball. He also earned academic all-region and academic all-conference honors. He is a Human Performance & Recreation major, and he is the son of Gina and Shaw White.
