Xavier joined the Panthers in the fall of 2025. He came to Claflin after two seasons at Elizabeth City State University. He was a CIAA All-Rookie selection as a true freshman and in 2025, he earned Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) All-Conference honors. He was also named an HBCU BoxtoRow All-American. He is a graduate of the SPIRE Institute where he earned all-region honors four times, and he was named his conference’s player of the year. He also earned MaxPreps first team honors twice. During his high school career, he was a member of state championship teams in both basketball and football. He also played baseball at SPIRE Institute. He is a Sports Management major and he is the son of Nekia Tubbs.
