Biography
2022-23: Destiny had a solid season for the Lady Panthers. She played in 25 of the team’s 26 games with five starts. She finished the season with 156 total points, averaging 6.2 points per game. She also pulled in 90 rebounds, and she averaged 3.6 rebounds per game. She reached double-digit scoring in seven games last season, including scoring 15 points against Paine with seven rebounds. She also set a season-high in rebounds in that game as well.
2021-22: Destiny stepped up late in the season to become one of the top players for the Lady Panthers. She played in 22 of the team’s 29 games and with 20 starts. She finished the season with 196 total points, and she averaged 8.9 points per game. She scored a season-high 16 points with 11 rebounds in the opening round of the 2022 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women’s Basketball Championship Tournament. For her efforts, she earned a spot on the all-tournament team.
Personal: Destiny joined the Lady Panthers in the fall of 2021. She came to Claflin University after attending Wingate University. She is a graduate of Spring Valley High School where she had a terrific career. She led the team to a state championship in the 2017-18 season and she earned a spot in the North vs. South All-State Game. She also earned all-conference and all-tournament honors. She is a Sport Management major; she is the niece of Kenneth Marshall and she is the daughter of Shauna Marshall-Thomasson.
