2023-24: Janelle continued a great career with the Lady Panthers. She provided some instant offense on the team’s second unit. She finished the season with 96 total points and 24 rebounds. She also added 21 assists with 18 steals. She scored a season-high 22 points against Paine. 
 
2022-23: Janelle continued her strong career with the Lady Panthers with a great junior season. She finished the season ranked fourth on the team in scoring, totaling 197 points. She played in all 26 games and she provided a much needed spark off the bench in every game. She also totaled 22 steals with 32 assists. She tied a career-high when she scored 20 points against Fayetteville State. It was one of seven double-digit scoring efforts by Sample. She also scored 19 points at Augusta (Ga.). 
 
2021-22: Janelle made an immediate impact on the Claflin Lady Panthers season. She played in 21 of the team’s 27 games. She finished the season with 203 total points, and she averaged 9.7 points per game. She reached double-digit scoring in nine games with a career-high 20 points against Saint Augustine’s. She also added 21 steals with 16 assists. She led the team with 36 three-pointers made. For her efforts, she earned a spot on the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) All-Rookie Team.

2020-21: The 2020-21 season was cancelled due to COVID-19. 
 
Personal: Janelle joined the Lady Panthers in the fall of 2020. She came to Claflin University as a graduate of Huguenot High School where she was a two-year team captain, and she was also a second-team All-Region 4B selection. She was also her class valedictorian, and she was a member of the National honor Society member. She is a Business Administration major, and she is the daughter of Tonya and Alfredo Sample.
