Biography
2022-23: Lauren continued to be the leading offensive option for the Lady Panthers with a great sophomore season. She was one of just two Lady Panthers to start in all 26 games. She averaged 11.6 points per game with 35 assists and 42 steals. Her best came against Saint Augustine's when she scored a career-high 26 points in the game. The effort included an incredible six-for-seven three-point effort in the game.
2021-22: Lauren made an immediate impact on the Lady Panthers as a true freshman. She played in 26 of the team’s 27 games last season with five starts. She finished the season with 217 total points, and she averaged 8.3 points per game with 20 assists. She reached double-digit scoring in 11 games last season with a career-high 19 points twice. She first hit the mark at NCAA Division I Winthrop and she followed the effort with 19 points in an upset win over Winston-Salem State. She also scored 18 points against Savannah State.
Personal: Lauren joined the Lady Panthers in the fall of 2021. She came to Claflin University as a graduate of The Hammond School where she had a terrific career, and she was named the South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA) Co-Player of the Year. She also competed in both volleyball and track & field. She was also a star in the classroom where she compiled a 4.0 grade-point average (GPA) with a spot on the President’s List in the Fall of 2020 and the Spring of 2021. She is a Human Performance & Recreation major, and she is the daughter of Tanisha Brown and Rodriquez Scott.
