Mia joined the Lady Panthers in the fall of 2025. She came to Claflin after a season at Palm Beach State where she was a Juco All-American Honorable Mention. She is a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School n Montclair, New Jersey where she led her to a county championship. Individually, she earned several honors including winning the High School Game Changers Award and being named first team all-conference selection twice. In addition to basketball, she played flag football. She was also a star off the court and field as well. She was a member of the Lodi Sports & Leadership Club, the African American Book Club, the Culinary Communications Club, and the Foreign Movies Club. Academically, she earned a spot in the National Honor Society, the National English Honors Society, the Rho Kappa (History Honors Society), and the Math Honors Society. She is a Psychology major and she is the daughter of Lynette Roman and Ivan Lewis.
