2024-25: Tyra did not compete for the Lady Panthers last season. She had a season-ending injury prior to the opening of fall camp.
 
2023-24: Tyra had a solid freshman season with the Lady Panthers. She played in 20 games. She finished the season with 54 total points and 16 rebounds. She also added 11 assists with 16 steals and two blocks. Her best game came against Paine when she scored a career-high eight points.
 
Personal: Tyra joined the Lady Panthers in the fall of 2023. She came to the team as a graduate of Lower Richland High School where she earned several honors. She was named her team’s Player of the Year during her career. She was also a two-time All-Region and a one-time All-State selection in basketball, a one-time All-Region honoree in tennis, and an All-Region selection in softball. She was also an academic star as she earned a spot on the Principal’s List four times, a CTE and Trio Completer, and an IB Math & English. She also competed in tennis, cross country, softball, and track & field. She is a Human Performances & Recreation major and she is the daughter of Lola Sumter.
