Biography

2023: Jakeya stepped in to lead the Lady Panthers’ offense right away. She played in all 23 matches with 16 starts. She finished season as the team’s leader with 276 assists. She also ranked third on the team with 27 service aces. Defensively, she added 136 digs. She recorded a career-high 22 assists twice in matches against Johnson C. Smith. She also had five matches where she reached double-digit digs.
 
Personal: Jakeya joined the Lady Panthers in the fall of 2023. She came to the team after attending Wake Technical Community College. She is a Human Performance & Recreation major and she is the daughter of Jacqueline Davis and Alfonzo Paylor.
