Jamila joined the Lady Panthers in the fall of 2025. She came to Claflin as a graduate of Ashbrook High School where she earned several honors in both volleyball and track & field. She was a 2022 Big South 3A All-Conference selection, and volleyball team MVP in both 2023 and 2024. In track & field, she took silver in the discus throw at the conference championship in 2022, gold in the shot put at the county championship in 2022, silver in the discus throw at the 2023 county championship, and bronze in the shot puta the 2023 county championship. She was a member of the 2023 county championship track & field team. For her efforts, she was named the track & field team MVP in 2023. She was also a star in the classroom where she earned the Scholar Athlete Individual Award in 2023 and the was named an AAU Academic All-American in 2024. She is a Chemistry major, and she is the daughter of Ursula and James Lewis, Sr.
