2022: Jasmine flourished after stepping into a starting role for the Lady Panthers. In her first season as a starting libero for the Lady Panthers, Kirkland responded in a big way. She finished the season as the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) leader in digs per set (4.40). She also finished the season ranked sixth in the conference with 251 digs. She also added 19 service aces. She started in 18 of the team’s 22 matches with a start. For her efforts, she was named the CIAA Food Lion Defensive Player of the Week twice.
 
2021: Jasmine made her debut on the court after the 2020 season was cancelled. She played in 49 matches with 20 starts. She finished the season with 78 digs.
 
2020: The 2020 season was cancelled due to concerns regarding COVID-19.
 
Personal: Jasmine joined the Panthers in the fall of 2020. She came to Claflin University as a graduate of Lugoff-Elgin High School where she was a four-year letterwinner and she earned all-tournament honors. She was also a star in the classroom where she earned a spot in the National Beta Club, the National Honors Society, and the National Technical Honors Society. She is an Elementary Education major, and she is the daughter of Sharon and James Kirkland.
