Biography

2021: Mya stepped in right away for a strong season with the Lady Panthers. She finished the season ranked second on the team with 178 kills and she also added six service aces with four assists. Defensively, she was equally impressive as she finished the season with 53 total blocks (seven solo). She also added 39 digs. For her efforts, she earned Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Second Team All-Conference honors.
 
Personal: Mya joined the Panthers in the fall of 2021. She came to Claflin University after attending Lawson State Community College. She is a graduate of McAdory High School. She is a Business major and she is the daughter of Makeella and Corey Broom.
