Hartsville, S.C.—The Claflin University baseball team had its win streak snapped at four as they fell to Coker College, 6-9, in a non-conference game in Hartsville. With the loss, the Panthers fall to 8-17 overall.
Sixto Guerrero scored one run with two hits, including a homerun, with three RBI's on the day for Claflin.
Jabari Brown went 3-for-4 with two RBI's for the Panthers at the plate.
Reginald Rogers had two runs while
Johnny Stevenson,
Jesse Minter and
McKinley Leverette all had one run to round out the scoring for Claflin.
Anthony Ford, who went 7.1 innings, was the losing pitcher for the Panthers.
Claflin will travel to Savannah, Ga. to face Armstrong State, tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18. The Panthers will return to Historic Mirmow Field this weekend, Saturday-Sunday, March 21-22, when they host Morehouse College in a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) three-game series.
