Orangeburg, S.C.—The Claflin University men's and women's basketball teams will host Clark Atlanta University for a pair of Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) contests for Saturday, Feb. 20.  It will be the 2016 regular season finale and senior day for the Lady Panthers and Panthers.  There will be a senior presentation between the women's and men's contest.
 
Tip-off for the women is set for 1:30 p.m. with the men's game following the senior presentation at approximately 3:45 p.m.
 
This will be the second meeting of the season between Claflin and Clark Atlanta women.  In their earlier meeting (Feb. 4) the Lady Panthers came out on the winning end of a 73-60 contest.  Jaquanna Davis paced Claflin with a double-double 18 points-10 rebounds. 
 
On the season, Shaniece Brown leads Claflin (15-10, 10-5 SIAC) in scoring at 12.6 points per outing.  Ashely Fields is averaging 7.3 points and Davis is averaging 6.9 points and a team-leading 7.3 rebounds per outing.
 
Clark Atlanta (6-19, 4-11 SIAC) is led by Mykala Jones who is averaging 20.4 points per game.  Siera Bubb is averaging 9.2 points and a team-high 9.4 rebounds.
 
The Claflin men defeated Clark Atlanta 75-73 on February 4.  Triston Thompson scored a team-high 17 and Austin Lawton recorded a double-double, 14 points-10 rebounds in the win.
 
The Panther men brings a 13-12 overall and 9-8 SIAC bill into Saturday's contest.  Patrell Rogers continues to lead the team in scoring at 15 points per game.  Adolph Caldwell is averaging 11.5 points while Lawton is averaging seven points and a team-leading 7.9 rebounds per outing.
 
Clark Atlanta comes into the contest with a 9-18 overall record and 7-10 in the SIAC.  Tim Smith is averaging 14.3 points and Damen Enoch is averaging 12.1 points and seven rebounds per outing.
