Valentine-Parris Earn Three All-Region Honors

Shaw and the Men’s 4x400 Meter Relay Team also Earn All-Region Honors

New Orleans, La.—Brandon Valentine-Parris earned three All-Region Honors for the 2016 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field season. The honors were announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday.

Shaquille Shaw and the 4x400 meter relay team also earned all-region honors.

Valentine-Parris earned individual All-Region honors in the 200 and 400 meters. He was also a member of the 4x400 meter relay teams.

Shaw picked up his individual All-Region honor in the 110 meter hurdles

The men's 4x400 meter relay team consisting of Odou Hazel, You'shi Kirkland, Nicholas Williams and Valentine-Parris rounds out the All-Region performers for the Panthers .

To be named All-Region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-5 of an individual event in the region according to final TFRRS data or be part of a top-3 relay team.
