Orangeburg, S.C. – Ashley Fields posted her ninth double-double of the season, scoring 19 points and pulling down 10 rebounds, while Shakarri Mack tossed in a career-high 17 points in leading the Claflin University Lady Panthers past Livingstone College 67-57 in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division contest on Monday (Feb. 18) in Tullis Arena.

With the win, Claflin evened its season overall record at 13-13 and finished its first regular season in the CIAA at 9-9. The contest also saw the Lady Panthers snapped their three-game losing streak and swept the regular season meeting with Livingstone. Claflin won 66-59 in Salisbury, N.C.

As for Mack, her previous high in scoring for the Lay Panthers was 16 points against Livingstone in the first meeting as well as against Benedict College. She was 7-of-11 from the field in the win.
