Claflin Athletes, Coaches, and Administrator Pick Up Paw Awards

Orangeburg, S.C. – Several Claflin University student-athletes, coaches and administrator picked up a Paw Award at the third annual Paw Awards Show held on Wednesday, Apr. 10.  The show titled "A Golden Night on the Hilltop" is the signature award show created by the students.  The show recognizes students, staff, faculty and administrators for their outstanding work for the University throughout the year.
 
Athletic Department award recipients include Head Softball Coach Marty Kinard: Coach of the Year and Assistant Athletics Director Matisse Lee: Administrator of the Year.  Student-Athletes winning awards were: Kayla Cato (softball) Female Athlete of the Year; Triston Thompson (men's basketball) Male Athlete of the Year; women's softball was named the Female Team of the Year and men's basketball was named the Male Team of the Year.
