Claflin Baseball and Softball Will Not Host Fans this Season

Orangeburg, SC – As the Claflin University baseball and softball home competition comes to a close, please be reminded that fans will not be allowed at the home baseball and softball games this season. This decision, which was made at the start of the season, will allow the Claflin Department of Athletics to remain in compliance with the City of Orangeburg restrictions on crowd gatherings.

In an earlier release, Director of Athletics Tony O'Neal stated, "The decision to play without fans is to protect the health, well-being, and safety of our student-athletes, staff, and the campus community."

The Claflin baseball team will close out its home season this Friday-Saturday, Apr. 2-3, when they host USC Aiken at Historic Mirmow Field in Orangeburg.  The Lady Panthers will close out their season on Thursday, Apr. 22 against Elizabeth City State University.
