LINCOLN (PA) - The Claflin Lady Panthers (4-4, 1-2 CIAA) got off to a great start and never looked back when the team rolled to a 79-62 road win over the Lincoln (Pa.) Lady Lions (2-7, 0-3 CIAA), Saturday afternoon. The Lady Panthers controlled the game from the very beginning, including outscoring the Lady Lions 20-4 in the first quarter.
As a team, the Lady Panthers had one of their best showings of the season. The team shot a smoking hot 53.1% (26-of-49) from the floor. The team also hit 12 three-pointers. Claflin senior guard
Nya Morris led the way with 26 points, seven rebounds, two steals, and a block. Sophomore guard
Ariel Lucas added a career-high 11 points with three steals. Senior forward
Destiny Harrison added 10 points and a blocked shot.
With the win, the Lady Panthers improve to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) play. The team will return to action next Monday when the team heads to Augusta, Georgia to take on the Paine Lions.
