ORANGEBURG, SC - The Claflin Lady Panthers took a three-set exhibition match win over the Paine College Lions, Tuesday. The team completed its first preseason under the guidance of head coach Lauren Calvin.
The Lady Panthers combined a strong offensive effort with some clutch defense late to pull away with the win. As a team, the Lady Panthers finished the match with 41 kills and nine service aces. Claflin sophomore outside hitter
Mya Sumter led the way with 11 kills in the match. Senior utilities

Taylin Johnson both added seven kills each. Junior libero
MeAuhre Lewis led the Claflin defense with 16 digs.
The Lady Panthers will open the 2024 season when the team takes on the Brewton-Parker Barons in a 6:00 p.m. match.
