ORANGEBURG, SC - The Claflin Lady Panthers (3-22, 3-12 CIAA) gave a strong effort, but the team came up short in a three-set loss to the Winston-Salem State Rams (15-9, 12-3 CIAA), Thursday evening. The Lady Panthers found points hard to come by in the 17-25, 11-25, and 21-25 loss.
The Lady Panthers played an aggressive match despite the loss. The team totaled 84 attacks. Clalfin freshman
Aryanna Connell continued to show why she is one of the top performers in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) with nine kills in the loss. Fellow freshman
Zaniya Harris added six kills as well. Claflin senior setter
Siri Davis added 13 assists with four service aces.
With the loss, the Lady Panthers fall to 3-22 overall and 3-12 in CIAA play. The team will close out the regular season on the road when they head to Salisbury, North Carolina to face the Livingstone College Blue Bears.
