COCHRAN, GA - The Claflin Lady Panthers (6-3) had their winning streak snapped when the team took a 63-58 road loss to the Middle Georgia State Knights (9-2), Saturday afternoon. The Lady Panthers put on a solid game, but the team could not muster enough offense to keep up with the Knights.
The loss came in spite of some solid play by the Lady Panthers. As a team, the Lady Panthers were held to 58 points. The team shot a34.8% (23-of-66) from the floor. Sophomore guard
Mia Lewis led the way when she broke out for 18 points in the game. Senior forward
Ashari Lewis added 10 points in the game. Sophomore center
Olivia Randolph added 12 rebounds with three blocked shots.
With the loss, the Lady Panthers' six-game winning streak ended. The team will return to action in the new year when they heads to Greenville, South Carolina to take on the North Greenville Trailblazers.
