Morris Named CIAA Food Lion Women's Basketball Player of the Week
CHARLOTTE, NC - Claflin senior guard
Nya Morris has continued her terrific season when she was named the Food Lion Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Basketball Player of the Week, Monday.
The honor comes after another great week of play. She opened the week on a high note with 24 points at Benedict. She also added four steals and three assists in the game. She followed that effort with a double-double effort at Shaw. She scored 27 points with 10 rebounds against the Lady Bears. She also added a steal and four assists in the game.
Morris and the Lady Panthers will be back in action, Wednesday, when the team hosts the Livingstone College Blue Bears at 5:30 p.m.
