Lewis Earns 2026 CIAA First Team All-Conference Honor

CHARLOTTE, NC - Claflin University senior forward Ashari Lewis earned a spot on the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) All-Conference First Team, Sunday evening. After leading the way for the Lady Panthers this season, the Columbia, South Carolina native earned a spot on the All-CIAA team for the first time this season.

Lewis earned her spot on the all-conference team after establishing herself as one of the top players in the CIAA throughout the entire season. This season, she finished the regular season ranked fourth in the CIAA with 311 total points and averaging 13.5 points per game. She was also a terrific rebounder, pulling in 103 total rebounds and averaging 4.7 rebounds per game. She has had some great play throughout the season, including reaching double-digit scoring in 19 of the 22 games that she played in. She scored a career-high 32 points to lead the team to a win over North Greenville.

With the honor, Lewis becomes the third straight Lady Panther to earn All-CIAA honors, including former Lady Panthers Lauren Scott and Nya Morris.

with the honor in tow, Lewis will now turn her attention to seeking the 2026 CIAA Women's Basketball Championship. The Lady Panthers will open the tournament on Tuesday morning when the team takes on the Lincoln (Pa.) Lady Lions.
