Claflin University Cross-Country Teams Vie for CIAA Titles

Orangeburg, S.C.— The Claflin University men's and women's cross-country teams will head to Salem, Va. to vie for the 2019 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) title, Thursday, October 24.  The 2019 CIAA Cross Country Championships will be held at Green Hill Park in Salem, Va.
 
The men's 8K race will kick off the championships at 12 noon followed by the women's 5K race at 1:30 p.m. The field will feature men's and women's teams from all 13 conference schools.
 
Immediately following the women's race, a championship awards ceremony will be hosted by the conference. The 2018 CIAA Women's and Men's Cross-Country Championships are free and open to the public.
 
Fayetteville State University women and Virginia State University men will be looking to make it three straight championships in a row.
