ORANGEBURG, SC - The Claflin Lady Panthers (12-8, 8-8 CIAA) got back to their winning ways when the team took an 87-77 win over the Shaw Lady Bears (11-10, 6-6 CIAA), Saturday afternoon. The Lady Panthers took the win behind a great showing behind their big three.
The Lady Panthers saw three terrific performances to power the team to the win. Claflin junior guard
Lauren Scott led the way with a career-high 31 points, including hitting seven three-pointers in the game. She also added eight rebounds with two steals and two assists. Senior guard
Nya Morris added 23 points with six rebounds and two assists while redshirt-sophomore forward
Leigha Harris added a career-high 21 points, five rebounds, four steals, and three assists.
With the win, the Lady Panthers improve to 12-8 overall and 6-6 in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) play. The team will return to action, Wednesday, when they head to Salisbury, North Carolina to take on the Livingstone College Blue Bears.
