FAYETTEVILLE, NC - The Claflin Lady Panthers (13-10, 8-7 CIAA) could not seem to get anything working when the team took a 74-40 road loss to the Fayetteville State Lady Broncos (18-7, 13-3 CIAA), Wednesday. The Lady Panthers struggled to one of their toughest offensive efforts of the season in the loss.
The Lady Panthers could not seem to find an answer to their offensive woes in the game. The team's 40 total points was the lowest of the season. As a team, the Lady Panthers shot just 27.4% (17-of-62) from the field. Claflin senior guard
Nya Morris led the way with 13 points in the game while senior forward
Leigha Harris added 13 points.
With the loss, the Lady Panthers fall to 13-10 overall and 8-7 in CIAA play. The team will close out the regular season, Saturday, when they host the Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls on Senior Day.
