ORANGEBURG, SC - The Claflin Lady Panthers (10-7, 6-4 CIAA) got back to their winning ways in a big way when the team took an 80-63 win over the Winston-Salem State Rams (6-16, 2-10 CIAA). The team put on an offensive showcase to take out the key Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division game.
As a team, the Lady Panthers put on one of their best games of the season on their way to the win. The Lady Panthers shot a smoking hot 51.6% (33-of-64) from the floor and recorded 13 steals in the win. Claflin senior guard
Nya Morris led the way when she set a new career-high with 32 points in the game. She also added seven rebounds with five steals. Fellow senior forward
Destiny Harrison also added 10 points with three rebounds.
The Lady Panthers controlled the game from the beginning to the very end.
With the win, the Lady Panthers improve to 10-7 overall and 6-4 in CIAA play. The team will return to action, Wednesday, when they host the Shaw Lady Bears.
