Claflin University Cheerleaders to Hold Tryouts for 2017-18 Season

Orangeburg, S.C.—The Claflin University cheerleader team will hold tryouts for the 2017-18 season, Monday, Aug. 28-Fri. Sept. 1, at Tullis Arena inside the Jonas T. Kennedy Health and Physical Education Center on the campus of Claflin University.

Tryout Clinic will be held Monday-Thursday, Aug. 28-31. The final tryout will be held Friday, Sept. 1. The tryout Clinic will be held 8-10 p.m. each night and the final tryouts will be held at 6 p.m. Attendance is mandatory on all days.

Tryouts are open to male and females of all classifications. Anyone interested in trying out for the team must have a current physical (within the last 12 months) and carry a grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or better (excluding freshman). All physicals must be presented on the first night.
