Claflin Baseball Ranked 4th in Black College Nines HBCU Poll

Orangeburg, S.C.—The Claflin University baseball team is ranked No. 4 in the Black College Nines HBCU small schools poll announced Tuesday, Mar. 13. The poll is separated into two divisions, large schools (NCAA Division I) and small schools (NCAA Division II, NAIA and Independent).

This is the first week for the poll which is announced every other Tuesday through May 21, 2019.

Claflin, who defeated The College of the Saint Rose on March 6, lost all three games last weekend to Florida Southern College, is currently 12-7 on the season.

The Panthers will return to action this weekend, Saturday-Sunday, Mar. 16-17, against Tuskegee University in Montgomery, Ala. The teams will play a single game on Saturday and a double header on Sunday.
