Claflin Baseball Jumps Two Spots to 3rd in Black College Nines HBCU Poll

Orangeburg, S.C.—The Claflin University baseball team jumped two spots to 3rd in the latest in the Black College Nines HBCU small schools poll announced Tuesday, Apr. 9.  The poll is separated into two divisions, large schools (NCAA Division I) and small schools (NCAA Division II, NAIA and Independent).
 
The Panthers were ranked 5th in the poll two weeks ago.  The standings are announced every other Tuesday through May 21, 2019.
 
Claflin, who has won six straight including a routing of Benedict College on Wednesday, Apr. 10, will head to Atlanta, Ga. to face Clark Atlanta in a three-game series, this Saturday-Sunday, Apr. 13-14.  The teams will play a single game on Saturday and a double header on Sunday.
