ORANGEBURG, SC - The Claflin Lady Panthers (9-5, 5-3 CIAA) found points hard to come by when the team took a 50-41 loss to the #22 Winston-Salem State Rams (16-1, 7-0 CIAA), Wednesday evening. The Lady Panthers put on a strong effort in the game, but the team struggled to get their offense going in the loss.
As a team, the Lady Panthers had one of their toughest games of the season. The Lady Panthers shot just 25.5% (14-of-55) from the floor. Claflin senior forward
Ashari Lewis had a strong game with 13 points and three rebounds in the game. Sophomore center
Olivia Randolph added 13 rebounds with four blocked shots. Sophomore guard
Mia Lewis added 12 points as well.
With the loss, the Lady Panthers fall to 9-5 overall and 5-3 in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) play. The team will return to action, Saturday, when they head to Raleigh, North Carolina to take on the Shaw Lady Bears.
