Ronald Peters had a terrific career with the Claflin University men’s basketball team. As a junior, he led the nation in rebounding. His playing career continued in the professional ranks as he went on to have a 10-year career with the European basketball league in Brazil. He also spent eight years with the Harlem Wizards Entertainment League.
His contributions continued off the court as well. He went on to have a terrific career as a teacher in New York and he ran summer basketball camps for underprivileged youth in New York. He also served as a basketball coach in the area as well. He continued his career until his retirement from the New York Department of Education.
