Elizabeth Rose was one of the best coaches to lead a team at Claflin University. In her capacity as both women’s basketball and volleyball coach, she led the teams to several successful seasons. Always a leader, she was the first volleyball coach at Claflin and she led the reactivation of the women’s basketball program at Claflin.
 
She is a 1950 graduate of Claflin and she also earned a Master’s degree from New York University in 1959.
